The Panama City Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau will once again host the Winter Resident SunCard sign-up program on Friday, January 29th
Hosted by the Convention and Visitors Bureau, winter residents from Canada, the Midwest, Northeast and other parts of the United States will be treated to complimentary coffee and donuts from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 29th. The Visitor Information Center is located at the corner of Hwy 98 and Hwy 79 in Panama City Beach. An additional complimentary coffee & donut days is scheduled for Friday, February 5th.
Now through February 28th, Convention and Visitors Bureau personnel will be on-hand to issue the official Winter Resident “SunCard” to new winter residents and repeat winter residents during regular business hours, Monday through Sunday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Panama City Beach winter residents can use their free SunCard throughout the area for value added programs and discounts at participating restaurants, hotels, and other area attractions and events
The Winter Resident SunCard Program began in Nov. 2000. Now in its tenth year, over 12,000 SunCards have been distributed to seasonal guests throughout the history of the program with over 2000 cards issued this winter season alone.
In addition to coffee and donuts, winter guests will also have the opportunity to meet and mingle with distinguished Canadian media personality, Prior Smith. Prior Smith, a veteran radio broadcaster with Canada Calling, will make a special guest appearance on Friday morning to help welcome winter guests to Panama City Beach. Canada Calling is heard on over 20 radio stations throughout the southeast and broadcasts locally on WLTG-AM and WDIZ-AM from November through April. Canada Calling has been on the air for over five decades and keeps Canadian visitors and winter residents informed on news from home while they are wintering in Florida.
