I saw the news story last night on this and it is so sad. Poor guy must not have seen the reflectors on the trailer or maybe he was disoriented and didn’t realize how close he was to it. It is sad indeed that this had to happen but there was nothing that could have been done that wasn’t done to prevent it from all that I saw. Just a freak accident and a sad one. My condolenses to the family.

from other sources, they say that this guy ran into the back of a logtruck parked at the end of a dead end road? so the road being patrolled wouldnt have stopped anything. sry to the family.

From what little detail I can make out from the map, they weren’t on hwy 231 but back in the “residential” area of Fountain. Hopefully there will be more details on this tonight at 5:30. It is sad because nobody wins against a big truck like that even if it’s the smaller vehicle’s fault. In this case right now we don’t know. Again, it is sad.

It is a sad day. If the road were better patrolled to enforce the speed limit and other motor vehicle laws, this type of thing would not happen.

WOW! That explains all the sirens going off this morning. It’s sad to hear of this. My condolences to the family.
