Just after two o’ clock this morning, a Walton County Sheriff’s deputy noticed a green dodge truck with a Florida tag turned off of Highway 83 north of DeFuniak Springs. The deputy noted that the vehicle had no tail lights. Once the vehicle was stopped, the driver and two passengers appeared nervous.
A K-9 officer was called in to assist in the investigation of the vehicle and all the items located inside it. Once that was complete, each person inside was also searched. Authorities found two syringes, one small pouch containing a white substance, and a plastic container containing a white substance in the shoe of
Passenger Lisa Brown.
The substances were then field tested, and both items tested positive for methamphetamine. The 36-year-old Freeport woman admitted that all the items in the shoe belonged to her. Miss. Brown was then booked into the Walton County Jail for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver and other passenger were allowed to go.
Brown’s bond has been set at $10,000.
