Visual Arts Center Operations Director, Linda Macbeth, has resigned effective March 12 it was announced by Board of Director’s President Joseph Silva, Jr.
“The Board of Directors is most appreciative of Linda’s dedication on behalf of the Visual Arts Center. We wish her the best in her future endeavors.”
Macbeth had been Operations Director since the departure of Executive Director (“ED”) Ellen Killough, when the position of ED was defunded due to financial stresses.
Silva said the board’s ongoing search for Executive Director continues. “We are solvent and strong. And, with renewed community, and Advisory Council support, art and culture continue to spring forward in Downtown Panama City.”
The Quilt National exhibit closes March 14. The VAC’s next exhibit, Best of Bay, opens April 2.
The Downtown Festival of the Arts (the “DFA”) runs from April 30 through May 2, in McKenzie Park and other Downtown locations. Applications for participant artists, exhibitors and merchants are now being accepted. For more information call the Visual Arts Center at 850-769-4451.
