We’re starting to get our first real taste of colder temperatures in Northwest Florida and now is the time to start thinking about things to do to save money on your heating bills.

To start, the easiest thing to do is change your air filter which improves the efficiency of your heating system. Have a trained technician check your system at least twice a year.

Also, experts say to add insulation to your attic as well as installing weatherstripping around doors which can help prevent warm air from getting out and consider installing plastic sheeting over some of your windows.
