In - House Optical Shop and Lab
Our optical shop and in-house laboratory has a well trained and experienced staff.  We have the areas most Board-Certified, licensed opticians under one roof, who meticulously fit you with glasses, guarantee your satisfaction, and maintain the best quality eye wear possible.

SURGERY AND PROCEDURES
Cataracts and No Stitch / Small Incision Surgery
Although the formation of a cataract can make activities such as reading and driving difficult, good vision can be safely restored with outpatient cataract surgery. The Eye Center of North Florida has a state of the art in house surgery center where we use the area's most advanced equipment.
Blepharoplasty
Blepharoplasty is a common procedure where excess skin and fatty tissue are removed from around the eyes.
REFRACTIVE PROCEDURES

LASIK
Laser Vision Correction for Nearsightedness, Farsightedness & Astigmatism.

Blade Free LASIK
The Ziemer Femto LDV laser is completely bladeless and uses extremely low density rapid laser pulses to create the corneal flap (essential to the LASIK procedure).

ICL, PRK, and PTK
For patients who are extremely nearsighted, have thin corneas, or those that have other conditions that prevent them from LASIK, an alternative is Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL).

When is LASIK not for me?
The safety and effectiveness of refractive procedures has not been determined in patients with some diseases.

The cornea is a part of the eye that helps focus light to create an image on the retina. It works in much the same way that the lens of a camera focuses light to create an image on film.

Retinal Tears and Detachment
Retinal detachment occurs when the retina becomes separated from the back wall of the eye.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST AND LOW VISION CENTER

Eye Center of North Florida has an Occupational Therapist as a part of our team who has specialized training and education with Low Vision.
