Arnold Marlin Playoff Preview

The (10-0) Arnold Marlins have finally cracked into the top ten of the Florida AP poll in Class 3A as they sit at number nine.
The Marlins are at business as usual this week as they prepare for the (5-5) Wakulla War Eagles in the first round of the playoffs.
The Marlins beat Wakulla last year in the playoffs and know they are going to have their hands full this Friday night at the Mike Gavlak Sports Complex.
Coach James Hale says he’s sure Wakulla will show up this year with the notion of upsetting the undefeated Marlins, as they did to the War Eagles last year.
“We have history with Wakulla. Last year, they were ranked number five in the state and having a great year. Bobby Bowden was at the game and Mickey Andrews and we went over there and beat them, upset them, and then advanced to play Godby the next week in Tallahassee. Now, everything is kind of reversed. We’re ranked 9th in the state, undefeated and having a great year and they would love nothing more than to come over here and pay us back by beating us and beating us good. They have a lot of good athletes over there. They lost a lot of seniors, but they have a good football team and we’re going to have to play our absolute best to have an opportunity to compete with them,” said Hale.
