Heather Kretzer

Heather Kretzer was born in Blountstown, FL but grew up in Wewahitchka. She graduated from Wewahitchka High School.
After graduating from high school, Heather attended Gulf Coast Community College. She received an associate’s degree in Pre-Advertising/Public Relations. Heather attended the main campus of the Florida State University in Tallahassee for one year and transferred to the Panama City campus where she received her bachelor’s degree in Communications.
Before finishing school, Heather began working full-time at News 13 in 1999 as national sales assistant. After graduation she was promoted to community affairs. Two years later she moved to the news department as a producer. After two years of producing, she left the News 13 and returned 6 months later as the assignment editor. She was promoted to acting news director in January.
Outside of work, Heather is involved in the community. She is the Secretary/Treasurer for the Community Health Center in Bay County. The Center provides low-cost and free medical care to those who are uninsured and under insured. Heather’s favorite activity in the fall is going to watch the Florida State Seminoles football team. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends and pets.
