Fitness Xtreme Challenge Adventure Race

The extreme cold didn’t stop a group of athletes from competing in kind of unusual race Saturday.

A group of athletes competed in the 4th annual Naval Support Activity, Panama City Beach, Fitness Xtreme Challenge Adventure Race at Pine Log State Forrest Saturday. 

The race is sponsored by the Navy Base.  Originally the race was only open to military, but this year the race was open to civilians as well.

19 groups consisting of 57 men and women competed, and race organizers say the winning teams will go on to compete at a regional event.

Despite the also extreme cold News 13 was there and wanted to know a little more about the extreme event.
