Bay County Sheriff’s Office school resource deputies discovered a firearm on the campus of Mosley High School today, January 8, 2010. Three individuals have been arrested as a result, none of them students at Mosley High School.
At approximately 1 pm this afternoon, a vehicle driven by Jacob C. Horne went onto the Mosley campus in Lynn Haven. Horne drove the vehicle around to the back of campus near the pool.
The school resource deputy at Mosley stopped the vehicle and saw a rifle lying next to Horne in the vehicle. The deputy took Horne and two juveniles also in the vehicle into custody. The Remington 270 rifle was loaded.
Horne stated to the school resource deputy he was only on campus to check on a sibling. Horne, DOB 5/26/91, was charged with trespassing on School Grounds and Trespassing with a Firearm. The two juveniles were charged with Trespassing on School Grounds, a misdemeanor.
